Great Outdoors Colorado Trust Fund
- We are working with GOCO board, staff and stakeholders to develop a 5-Year Strategic Plan for the investment of over $50 million annually to protect and enhance Colorado’s outdoor resources.
Gold Bug, Inc.
- We are supporting a major Colorado-based clothing distributor to respond strategically to the recently issued Walmart Supplier Sustainability Assessment
The Colorado Governor’s Energy Office
- Treasurer-financed loan fund: We developed an innovative new energy efficiency/renewable energy loan fund with capital provided by the Colorado State Treasurer and additional funds provided by the Governor’s Energy Office to provide an interest rate buy-down and loss reserve.
- Energy Efficient Mortgage: We created a partnership between a major lender in Colorado with the Governor’s Energy Office, whereby the lender matched the state’s financial contribution to an interest rate buy-down on mortgages for energy efficient properties.
- Study on Electricity Transmission: We served as project manager for a half-million-dollar study on policies and practices related to electricity transmission constructed to serve concentrating solar power and wind energy in Colorado and the InterMountain West.
The Rockefeller Family Fund
We are building Colorado-based support for national climate policy development through education, outreach and coalition building.
Southwest Energy Efficiency Project
We are conducting analysis of the effectiveness of a series of financial products to support energy efficiency.
Midwest Governor’s Association
In partnership with the Center for Climate Strategy, we facilitated the creation of a detailed plan to meet this regional organization’s energy efficiency and carbon reduction goals.
Seedco Financial Services Denver
We conducted a market survey of green building activities and financial resources available to green buildings in the Denver area, and developed financial products for this community development financial institution to offer.
Center for Climate Strategies/ State of Michigan
Through the Center for Climate Strategies, Matthew Brown quantified carbon emissions reductions that would result from energy efficiency, renewable energy and coal co-firing programs and strategies. Brown co-facilitated a Michigan-based advisory group to form and define these programs and strategies.
US AID/Energy and Security Group
Matthew Brown wrote renewable energy legislation that established the structure for renewable energy funding in Liberia and created enabling legislation for a rural and renewable energy agency in Liberia.
Denver Union Station Neighborhood Company
Beth Conover worked with the site developer and stakeholder group to craft a set of guiding principles for green building, energy efficiency and infrastructure development practices for the 19-acre Transit Oriented Development district surrounding the historic station building and FasTracks hub.
Celilo Group Media/ Ecometro.com
Beth Conover facilitated the introduction of the Portland-based Ecometro Guide into the Denver-Boulder market by providing introductions to local and state government contacts, potential sponsor companies, and others with interest in the educational and advocacy-oriented content of the guide and coupon book.
Gates Family Foundation
Beth Conover helped this Denver-based foundation develop a comprehensive board packet and speaker program for a retreat focused on global warming and its potential impacts on the state and on the Foundation’s areas of interest.
Destination Cinemas
Beth Conover conducted a rapid audit and strategic planning session with this national IMAX theater company to help them develop more sustainable business practices and to position them for new business opportunities.
Alliance to Save Energy/U.S. Department of Energy
We conducted research and wrote a detailed policy impact analysis that resulted in 12 distinct studies on various aspects of state energy efficiency policy.
City of Boulder, Colorado Office of Environmental Affairs
