"The purpose of psychology is to give us a completely different idea of the things we know best." - Paul Valery

A common misconception among students, employees, and managers alike is that Organization work is common sense. We beg to differ and instead posit that working with humans is so second nature, that we miss learning moments that drive our development and the success of our firms.

Like most fields stemming from the study of human mind and behavior, Organization studies is an unwieldy mess of theories, frameworks, and tools that all possess the same mission: make our organizations better so business can grow. Organizations are the vehicle through which business value is captured and realized; therefore, active, strategically-minded management suggests we should treat Org work as an incredible opportunity for value creation and not simply administrative or punitive work.
